I’ve always been a creative at heart, and have held a deep love for a true connection, the unfiltered real type of connection. I believe, at the end of the day, the honest, unfiltered, moments in life, even the small ones, are what mean the most. I moved around quite a bit from a young age, and this taught me the importance of not taking any moment in life for granted, to hold the ones you love close, always make the most of every day you get to spend with friends and family no matter how big or small, and take lots and lots of pictures to preserve all of life’s amazing fleeting moments in time. Weddings are filled with these tiny moments and the fact that I get to capture them, stop time, and hand them over to you to be remembered forever means more than you may ever know.

I’m Canadian born, but I grew up overseas on a small compound in Saudi Arabia. The name ‘Twelve Poles’ is part of my personal story, and comes from my childhood growing up in Saudi. The moment that I picked up my first Kodak disposable to snap some off-centered shots of the sun-rising over the twelve poles, in the crystal clear waters of the Persian Gulf, is the moment that marked the beginning of my lifelong love affair with the art of storytelling, capturing the feelings of nostalgia, and preserving life’s fleeting moments.

Same Same, But Different

You can call me a citizen of everywhere and nowhere - I’m a Canadian mountain + east coast gal, and an international super spy haha. I was born in New Brunswick, but I always dreamt of living right on the beach. So, when I was eight years old and my Mom told me we were moving to a place just like Hawaii I was beyond excited. Now, I didn’t exactly grow up in Hawaii, or any place remotely close to it haha, but I did grow up in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia, situated right on the Persian Gulf Sea !

BUT Why Twelve Poles?

Growing up, I was spoiled with views of the crystal clear Persian Gulf sea everyday. And when the tides were really low, Twelve Poles would emerge from the sea off in the distance - The Twelve Poles became sort of a childhood landmark… and being the very sentimental & nostalgic person that I am - Naturally I had to jump at the opportunity to develop a brand that held a unique & personal backstory. AND just like with my brand, I hope to bring out your amazing unique stories in all of our sessions together!
